Sean E. Tarpinian is truly gifted heat treat professional. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Technology. In 2008, Sean start working as Materials Technician (Weldcraft Wheels Inc., advancing his carrier as Process Development Metallurgist/ Laboratory Supervisor (Inductoheat) and Corporate Metallurgist (U.S.Manufacturing). Now he is Principal Heat Treat Engineer at JTEKT North America Corp. where his responsibility includes standard laboratory testing such as micro-hardness measurements, tensile testing, elastomer testing and residual stress analysis of incoming materials to develop, organize and report conclusions of heat treat processes and material performance to management. He organizes and performs Heat Treatment and Laboratory Practices education for all HT operators and inspectors for all North American JTEKT Steering Gear manufacturing plants. Besides being a talented heat treat professional, he is also a family man.
