Jason Plowma started with HeatTek with a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he supported the IT needs of the business, then moved into the R&D lab where he ran tests on products related to the electric motor industry, and then on to other areas of the business, including applications engineering, service, and outside sales. Jason’s two mantras of “listen first” and “customer first”, as well as an excellent marketing plan helped HeatTek grow and develop the unique and profitable Metal Container Division of the business. In 2008 HeatTek was doing business with 2 out of the 6 major corporations that control 80% of the can production worldwide. HeatTek is now doing business with 5 out of 6 of those corporations. Among Jason's accomplishments is diversifying the business, securing the largest oven order ever placed in the can making industry (Jason sold 23 units to 1 new plant.), and mentoring a young, talented applications engineer who says, “He has not only led with his top-in-class performance, but also with patience, kindness, and humility. He is looked up to by many of his peers by his natural ability to lead, navigate tough situations, and rise to the occasion when the opportunity is presented.”
In November of 2018, Jason was promoted to president of HeatTek, where he is putting his leadership skills to work and driving the company to future great success. He is now leading the entire company, while still maintaining some of his key metal packaging customers.
