Joe Slattery's time in the industry covers about 10 years, first as a project engineer for a large steel foundry, where he focused on process heat applications (heat treat and others) among other areas of emphasis. He has now been with Unitherm Furnace+Missouri Heat Treat (UF/MHT) about five years. He joined UF/MHT as a design engineer and now serves as general manager for both companies.

Joe has a very good technical background and stepped up to take on the general manager position at UF/MHT after a period of inconsistent changes in management. He has forged a new and contagious team spirit in the company while embracing the sometimes difficult transition to an employee-oriented company, continuing to pursue the development of new products and technologies, such as the new vacuum furnace added to the MHT process range.
