Raman Bawa is a second generation heat treater, who has grown up in the business next to his father and mentor Sujit Bawa, co-founder of Metex Heat Treating, Ltd, in Brampton, Canada. Bringing about eight years of heat treating experience, Raman plays a pivotal role in developing new customers and processing standards for the demanding automotive component supply sector. Raman is an electrical engineer graduate who has leveraged his past experiences to improve Metex's business systems and reporting capabilities to consistently exceed the requirements of CQI-9. Through his leadership, a sophisticated, high-speed induction hardening cells complete with robotic integration has been applied to the heat treating processes. Additionally, Raman has had a significant role in Metex's capacity expansions over the last five years. In his time with the company, he has served in Heat Treat Operations, Production Planning, and as general manager.
