Tom Hart – Heat Treat Today 40 Under 40
Tom Hart is an experienced engineer of manufacturing, R&D, sales, and, finally, as a product manager with a ten-year history of working in the thermal processing industry. A graduate of Edinboro University, Tom has a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technologies. Before entering the thermal processing industry, Tom worked in the precision machining (tool and die), heavy fabrication, R&D glass lamination, and cemented carbide industries.
Beginning at SECO/WARWICK as a subcontracts manager, Tom later became an application engineer for vacuum sales. At present, Tom is the vacuum furnace product manager. Tom has a wide variety of skills in the aerospace, energy, medical, and automotive industries. Tom supports SECO/VACUUM Technologies LLC’s partners in understanding the concepts, processes, equipment, and infrastructure related to vacuum furnaces. Tom has a wide variety of knowledge in the vacuum furnace industry including annealing, tempering, brazing, sintering, high pressure gas quenching, vacuum aluminum brazing, vacuum oil quench, low pressure carburizing, gas nitriding, CVD, custom engineered process technologies, and related equipment sub-systems.
Tom is an active member of ASM, AGMA, and MTI and has published several white papers for these associations, presented at industry trade shows, and is well known and respected in the thermal processing industry.
