Sarah Lombardo is quality manager at Vacu Braze. With a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State, Sarah worked as a metallurgist, and has been gaining experience in aerospace industry quality systems in the heat treat industry for 17 years, beginning with an internship at Sikorsky Aircraft.

Sarah enjoys participating in various professional societies, including MTI, ASM, and AMEC. A graduate of MTI's YES Program, Sarah has served on national committees for ASM, including the Web Committee (2013–2014), the Nominating Committee (2012), and, as a co-chairperson, the Emerging Professionals Committee (2011–2013). Since 2012, Sarah has been an active member of the SAE AMEC Committee. Additionally, Sarah served as a chairperson for various committees on the Philadelphia Liberty Bell Chapter of ASM International since 2005 and was chapter chairperson during the 2010–2011 chapter year.

At Vacu Braze, Sarah has guided the company to accreditation as a Nadcap heat treat supplier while maintaining and establishing AS9100 and ISO 13485 quality systems. Additionally, she helped with implementation of Nadcap quality system for two commercial heat treaters. Sarah is an absolute pleasure to work with and brings years of professionalism and experience.
