Carburizing

Carburizing, a type of case hardening process, is commonly used throughout the heat treating industry. The process produces a hard, wear-resistant surface layer (or case) on top of a ductile, shock-resistant interior layer (or core). Carburizing spans a broad range of temperatures, from as low as 1475°F to 1800°F or above.
