Having previously worked at a tube mill and hydraulic motor manufacturing plant, both with captive heat treatment, Phil Kagebein is a metallurgist by trade with an exceptional manufacturing background. He has excelled in the technical understanding of in-house heat treatment processes and metallurgical lab work like failure analysis for motor components.

Currently, Phil is operating as the quality manager and metallurgist at Metals Technology Corporation in Carol Stream, IL, a commercial heat treater serving the Chicago area. He acts as the technical expert for the facility, while providing excellent support and service to his customers. Most importantly, though, he strives to make the lives of the lab technicians and inspectors who report to him better. Phil thinks there is nothing more important than positively influencing those around him.
